If not for the Philadelphia Museum of Art recognizing the unique combination of knowledge, experience, talent, and people skills possessed by Robin Brown, Design 10-17, Inc. may not exist as it is today. Robin and Mark Abrams (Senior Webmaster) were rewarded with senior and management positions by the museum, and it was during their employ there that the sparks of professional synergy began to fly.

Through project collaboration and observation of each other’s work style, the respect given by colleagues, and the positive response of Museum clients to their respective efforts, their entrepreneurial minds began to envision the melding of their graphic design, web design and development, and management skills as the basis for a successful business.

After bidding the museum farewell (it still remains a client of Design 10-17, Inc. ), Robin established Design 10-17, Inc. , offering print, exhibition, and web design services; inviting Mark to take on the role of Senior Webmaster/Web Project Manager.

Design 10-17, Inc. was founded by Robin Brown in February of 2004. Ms. Brown takes a hands-on approach to insure the success of Design 10-17, Inc. , by working as creative and project director on all projects. Ms. Brown’s objective in starting the business is to utilize her unique skill sets and work experiences developed over twenty-three years, while designing for major corporations, leading nonprofits, award-winning design and marketing communications firms, and numerous freelance accounts in Philadelphia, New York City, and Nashville, Tennessee.
